Mrs. Edith F. Crowder, 51, of Hillsboro died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1976 in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville She had been a patient 10 days. She was the owner and operator of Crowder's Flower Shop at Hillsboro since 1960. She was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church and was past chief of Pythian Sisters. Mrs. Crowder was a graduate of Wiley High School at Terre Haute and Union Hospital Nursing School at Terre Haute. She was a member of Cain Township Home Economic Club and Hillsboro Harmony Club. Born May 28, 1925, she was a daughter of Clyde and Nellie Allen Dooley of West Terre Haute. She married John Crowder on Aug. 4, 1946. Survivors include her husband; a son, Tom, of Hillsboro; a daughter, Amy L. at home; and three grandchildren. Services in Crumley Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. – jlr
